Dan + Mckenzie || engagement photographer in Utah

Dan and Mckenzie contacted me because they needed some pictures for their wedding in Arizona.  They are a super nice couple and I was happy to work with them.  They came prepared with a car full of clothes and a computer full of pictures they liked.  And I thought I was the super-prepared type, they had me beat, but I loved it!   They really loved sunset pictures and so we went to Saltair.

I hadn't been to Saltair for a couple of months and was not expecting it to be such an awful, bug-infested pile of Salt.  Big, tiger-striped flys that bite and did bite poor Mckenzie many times, but left Dan and I alone.   The mosquitoes weren't as picky and had a nice feast on all of us!
And, I had an Arachnophobia moment.   We went to this pile of cement blocks that I thought would be nice to get some pictures by.   As, we walked into the half moon crescent that they formed, I looked up into one of the blocks I saw a huge spider sitting on it's web.  Then my eyes adjusted and in the hallow center of the block were lots of huge spiders just hanging out on their webs.   Then I looked at all the cement blocks that surrounded and towered 5 feet above me and there were thousands of huge spiders in all the blocks.   I was like,  "Awwww!" on the inside (gotta keep my cool for my clients) and started backing up very slowly like it was a ravaged rabies-ridden dog.    Uggh! I hate spiders!  I secretly wanted to go back with some spider killer and spray all of them, but I would probably mess up the ecosystem of  Saltair and there would be an explosion of biting tiger flys.  ha!

Anyways on to the pictures.

Wow, someone added some of your photographs to "iheartit" and after seeing them I HAD to head over and check your stuff out.... I LOVE your style. The use of textures in some of these photos is beyond amazing. :)

btw- I am TERRIFIED of spiders, I doubt I would have been able to keep my cool. An embarrassing moment no doubt would have happened! :)
