Things have been hectic, 2 toddlers and a newborn are no joke... but I'm loving every minute.  Monster energy drinks have become my new craving and get me through the long nights of editing and during the day we are soaking up every bit of summer we can! Blogging, however, has been on the back burner.

B O R E D O M .

Today. consisted of nothing. to. do.

I finished all my client sessions over the weekend, just waiting for post offices to open tomorrow.

The kids were out having a day of fun with Grandma.

I had no pressing matters so I edited a few photos from sessions I'll be blogging.

Facebooked.

Fed this baby way too many carbs today. 

Messed around trying to hone my retouching skills.

(I love fashion high-end retouching but it's hard teaching yourself, if anyone out there has any great resources/tutorials feel free to share!)

Facebooked some more.

and now blogging.

Inspiration in the moving form.

The year was 2002 and I was a sophomore in high school, 

sitting in my family's tv room with a vhs tape in hand and MTV on the dial. 

 I would record my favorite music videos on my vhs tapes because they inspired me somehow. 

 Either I loved the song, the dance moves or the clothes and makeup or 

because it was simply a visually pretty video. 

 I sometimes thought how cool it would be to be a music video director and have my own "Making the Video" segment!

I wish I still had those recorded tapes, luckily for me I can still find the videos on youtube!

Today, MTV is still on the dial and music videos still inspire me.

This one made me jump out of my computer chair and stand fixed in front of the TV. 

I love it so much, song and video, from the parachute to her smoky eyes.

On a side note, whenever I'm driving to a shoot I always know it will be a good session when I turn on Pandora and the first song it plays is always my song!  Call it a ritual of sorts, like wearing the same ugly shirt to the casino or a football player not washing his jock strap (okay that is just gross)....  but it's happened for at least my last 5 shoots, including today! Happy Thursday people!

Sometimes I swing.

And down the spiral slide.
I'm the horse and they're the cowboy.
Living room dance parties.
And we dance like no ones watching.
When I'm with them, I act like a kid.
But I don't care.
Because I never want to grow up.
